The Parish Church of St. Mary,
Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals
In baptism, we thank God for his gift of life and publicly acknowledge his love. In the Anglican Church it is common to baptise young children; this is sometimes known as christening.
Baptism is a sacrament (holy ritual to symbolise grace) in the Christian tradition that is traced back to Jesus himself being baptized in the River Jordan. To arrange a Baptism please come along to one of our regular services of worship to discuss arrangements with the Vicar.
For such a special day, we offer a special place. To arrange your Wedding or the reading of Banns of Marriage please come along to one of our services and discuss your plans with the Vicar.
The Church of England has a great website to help you to help you plan your special day. Visit http://www.yourchurchwedding.org/
A funeral is used to mark the end of a person's life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping. Please contact the Vicar to discuss funeral arrangements.
