Our Church Links

Our Church Schools

St. Mary’s is linked with three schools: two Church of England primary schools and one Church of England secondary school.

The primary schools are Cop Lane Church of England Primary School and Howick Church of England Primary School, both of which are within the parish of St. Mary.

The secondary school is Hutton Church of England Grammar School  and Sixth Form which is located in the adjacent parish of St. Andrew Longton

Cop Lane Church of England Primary School is a popular, smaller than average  Voluntary Aided School and is organised into 7 single-age classes.  St. Mary’s Church has close links with the school having members of the PCC on the Governing Body.  Click on the school badge to visit their website.

Howick C E School is a small family friendly primary school located in Penwortham, Preston. It has an annual intake of 15 pupils. Like Cop Lane, St. Mary’s is represented on its Governing Body.  Click on their school badge to visit their website.

Hutton Church of England Grammar School and Sixth Form is a Voluntary-Aided Church of England school within the Diocese of Blackburn family of schools. The composition of the governing body and the foundation trustees reflects this status and Christian values are implicit in the work of the school.
