In total, the scheme will cost between £250,000 and £300,000.

To function at all, the church clearly had to have some heating over the winter of 2007/8, and £73,000 has already been spent on (a) introducing a gas main, (b) replacing the old boilers etc with all of the new gas boilers which will be required, and (c) providing a temporary connection between the new boilers and the few old heating pipes which still work reasonably well.

The Church has sufficient reserves to run to another £100,000, a substantial proportion of which has been specifically donated for the Project.

This means that of the order of a further £100,000 needs to be raised to complete it; as much as possible from the church membership, and beyond that from friends in the community at large who share the congregation’s vision and are willing to help to realise it.
