Church re-ordering
We
did receive a letter from the Diocesan Chancellor regarding our
plans but it wasn’t quite the news we were expecting. He has asked
for another month to consider our faculty application and to allow
the Victorian Society to articulate their objections more fully.
This would mean that should the faculty be approved we could not
start the work until well into our wedding season. This being so it
was decided at the PCC that, subject to faculty approval, the work
would not start until after the last wedding this year which is in
October.
The
delay is disappointing but there is nothing we can do to hurry the
decision. The delay will at least allow us to raise more of the
money needed and, perhaps more importantly, allow the weddings to
take place and avoid any disappointment for the brides and grooms.
Education
Sunday
Our
Education Sunday service at Cop Lane School was very well organized
by the school and went very well. Our thanks go to Miss Carter, her
staff and the children for giving us such a warm welcome

appointed to succeed Maggie Beck. Her name is Deb Bramley. We wish
