Our Groups

Listed below are the various groups which support the work of the Parish Church of St. Mary in Penwortham.  If you wouldlike to help or participate in  any way  please phone or e-mail the pointsof contact.

Bellringers

St Mary's has a full octave of bells and a very enthusiastic band of ringers.  Bell ringing practice is on Thursday evenings at  7.30 pm.If  you are interested in bell-ringing and would like to take part, please contact our Tower Captain Rachel  Tuke on 01772 460142

Magazine Team

Our church magazine is produced 10 times per year and we have a dedicated team of volunteers who  prepare, print, collate and distribute it.  For more information or if you would like to help in any way please contact Iain Jenkins 07885 408636

Church Cleaning Team

Our church cleaning team ensures that St. Mary's is presented in the best possible way to the congregation and in the sight of God. They meet every Thursday from 10.00 am till 12.00. If you would like to help in any way please come along to church.

Churchyard Maintenance Team

This team meets every Thursday from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and does work around the churchyard from mowing the grass, keeping paths clean and safe, and general maintenance work in the grounds around the church.
